Valentine Gift Omake 4

Many thanks to Sekitx2 on LJ for this cute little omake SS! This omake is set after the Valentine Gift SS and its omakes.

Naru didn't like how Yasuharu had casually mentioned something called Y** T*** in relation to yesterday, White Day. It had been Yasuharu that had told him about the Japanese tradition of boys returning a girl's gift on Valentine's Day on March 14th. It had been Yasuharu who had taken the picture of himself and Mai kissing that led to the unappreciated text message from Madoka and an even much longer phone call later that week from Luella. Yasuharu's clue of 10,000 hits already suggested a post of some kind. Naru promptly decided it would be prudent to figure out what his scheming employee had accomplished.

Gene was trying to get Naru's attention, verbally and even "poking" him with PK, but Naru was steadfastly searching on the internet for something. He wanted to know what Naru had done to Mai. Her face had been nothing but various shades of pink and red the whole time he'd been watching her today, and he noticed she hadn't once brought Naru any tea. Gene sighed. Until Naru found his answer, it was pointless to keep trying, so he'd wait. Time he had plenty of.

Gene looked at his brother's computer screen. A page had just come up. It said Y** T*** in the upper left. A web page to post videos on it seemed. Naru started typing in search words, with some urgency Gene noted. A few tries later and White Day + SPR yielded what Gene assumed Naru was hoping NOT to find. Naru already looked displeased to put it mildly. Gene read the title: "Naru and Mai's Little Tea Party". How bad can it be, Naru?

"Don't you start," came his brother's incisive mental reply. "Don't think I don't know who sealed that cocoa lid last month."

Gene was surprised, but recovered quickly. "You needed a push. See what it started? You haven't complained."

"What it started, indeed," Naru responded with an odd mix of irritation and amusement in his thoughts. For added punctuation, Naru clicked on the video link, a little harder than necessary.

Gene couldn't keep from laughing. He didn't think you could do that with teddy bears! Although their "playful antics" didn't match the audio which was Naru's and Mai's voices. Still, no wonder Mai had been blushing various shades all day. He should congratulate the idiot scientist, but maybe not now. Naru's control on his Qi had been slipping more and more as the video progressed, radiating outward and putting a distinct chill in the air. His face was blank, yet his eyes were very... hostile.

Gene backed away from his brother as he stood up and began searching for something in his office. Of course, the audio and original video must have been recorded from his office. Someone had dared to violate Naru's sanctuary. Before he realized it, he was bouncing PK energy back to Naru. A moment later Gene heard something burst into tiny pieces from one of the many bookshelves. As he watched his pissed off brother head for his office door, he couldn't help feel a little bit responsible.

Gene was also afraid for whomever had done this as Naru left his office; it was near the freezing mark. And he was embarrassed too, for Mai. Yet, most of all, Gene wished he could click the mouse to see the next part. Part 2 of 9 it said. Naru really was going to be impossible to handle when he saw that. Gene reflected on how his simple act had had such a snowball, make that avalanche, of an effect. For once he didn't mind he could do a disappearing act.
