It would be so nice if
It were possible to go through life without making a single mistake

Yuki sits alone in the hospital's waiting room as the sky darkens outside. Tohru's grandfather comes and tells him that he should go home for the day and that they (the family) would take care of things from there on. Yuki agrees and tells him that he'll be back again the next day; he still had to tell them about what had happened. Grandpa tells Yuki to make sure he went to school though, as Tohru would be hurt if he didn't. However, before Yuki can leave, Grandpa asks him if the orange haired boy didn't know about what had happened.

Yuki: ......

That guy's...

...That guy

Yuki: Is an idiot. In a pinch...
He panics

Makes (her) cry

Despite being able... He's capable
More than anyone

More than me...

And yet...

*realises what he's been saying*

Yuki: Ah...
...Um

Grandpa: That's...

At the Sohma mainhouse, Shigure tells Kagura and Kisa that after being taken to the hospital and finding nothing wrong, he'd brought Akito back. Kagura asks Shigure how Tohru's doing and whether Kureno wasn't also in the hospital.

Akito sits alone in her room as Hatori asks her if she's all right. Akito, with her back still to him, slowly says that she's okay. Elsewhere, Momiji sits alone on his bed while Hiro stands staring outside his home. Rin sits huddled, her sketchbook lying abandoned beside her.

It would've been so nice

To be able to live in a gentle world

With no worries

With no fears

Without hurting others

And not being hurt either

Doing only what's right

And it'd be so nice

To be able to reach

By the shortest path

The gentle world that one dreams of

"That's wrong" or
"That's so foolish"

If it's someone else's life, it's so easy

To make such irresponsible comments

Yuki arrives home only to be greeted by Haru. Surprised Yuki realises that they must have forgotten to lock the doors again. Haru confirms his suspicions, but lucky for him, it meant that he'd been able to get in easily therefore.

Haru: I heard what happened...

Right now, it's all they talk about at the main house...
Everyone's worried

Yuki: ...
I see...

Haru: Rin too was really something...

She went pale
She went white
And she went ashen.
You had to see it...

Also

Her bust's gotten bigger too...

Yuki: Did you want to calm the place down, boast about something or are you a seku-hara*. Which is it!!?

*seku-hara = [sexu]al [hara]ss-er/ment

Haru: All the above...?

Yuki: All is it...

Haru goes on to tell Yuki that he really did come to see how Yuki was doing and whether he was all right. Tired by Haru, Yuki tells him that he was fine. Haru goes on to ask Yuki how Honda-san was doing and how, when he asked Kyo, he'd gotten no response. Instead of responding, Yuki instead asks Haru if Kyo were upstairs. Haru confirms Kyo's whereabouts, commenting that it seemed that no one was "home" with him and realises that Kyo hadn't stayed with Tohru.

Yuki tells Haru that Kyo also had his own issues to deal with but... "That sort of thing doesn't matter right now.........!!" Yuki goes into a rage and, with the aura of his anger burning strongly about him, leaves to go upstairs.

As Yuki goes down the hall and up the stairs, Shigure comes home. He can only watch and wonder what was going on.

Yuki slams open the door to Kyo's room and demands to know why Kyo hadn't come to the hospital. He then goes on to tell Kyo that he's really low seeing as he had time to waste dithering in his room. Kyo however, doesn't rise to Yuki's words but instead tells him to say whatever he wanted to since his being there would only end up hurting Tohru and that he couldn't protect her, so it would be better for Yuki to be with her.

Grandpa: That's
Frustrating isn't it

You should tell it to him straight

Shigure comes back to the living room after having changed, when the house starts to shake from the fight happening above. Unperturbed and hungry, Haru asks Shigure if it would be okay for him to order pizza.

Yuki: "Can't protect her"...?

What do you mean by
"Can't protect her"...?

Yuki: So it'd be okay if you can catch someone who's about to fall from a cliff then...?
Would you be satisfied if you could magnificently save someone who's about to get hit by a car then...

That'd be something wouldn't it. Just who do you think you are

Did you think you're some sort of Super Hero...!!

You're just a stupid cat...!!

Finally getting angry, Kyo denies ever saying anything to that extent blurting out that if he could, he wanted to be like Yuki. That he wanted to be Yuki. Yuki, remembering the time he'd picked up Kyo's hat, loses his temper again and has at Kyo again.

Shigure: Oh jeez, you guys should go at it as much as you like...

Haru: Would it be okay to add nuggets...?

Angry, Yuki beats Kyo up until Kyo finally blocks him. Yuki yells that he too wanted the same thing. How he'd wanted so much to be like Kyo and yet, Kyo was still able to say that so easily first.

Yuki: ...But

You can only...
Be... you (Kyo)

And I, me (Yuki)...

You can only be yourself

Accept oneself
And face...... oneself...

...You protected her, didn't you!!?

Frustrated, Yuki kicks the door before demanding if Kyo hadn't in fact protected Tohru as he'd wanted. And that while such things as "I'm so delighted" or "I'm so happy" might be the smallest of things, and that it might not be some hero's superhuman power, by being with her, he'd been able to make Tohru smile.

Yuki: Do you honestly think it'd be the same
If I were by her side!?

Give it up already. And realise

That there are some things
That only you can do!

Don't make her cry!!

Pull yourself together!!!

Yuki: What're you doing just standing there...?

This is me, the one you wanted to be, telling you as much...

Stupid cat...

Kyo leaves while Yuki can only mutter how he hates people like that.

It would be

So nice to be able to live

Without even once taking the wrong path but

It doesn't exist

That sort of thing

Failing
Stumbling

Losing the way
Making mistakes

Little by little, walking one step at a time

Is all you can do

By one's own feet

Haru comes upstairs to check on Yuki and asks him if he's all right.

Even if you end up all banged up

Some day, you'll end up reaching something

Reaching someone

Praying all the while

At the table, Shigure, Yuki and Haru eat dinner. Yuki tells them that Tohru had safely regained consciousness. And when asked if he'd contacted the mainhouse about it, Yuki confirms that he'd phoned them when he'd left. Shigure, realising that Kyo wasn't around, asks where he was. Yuki comments offhand that he might be at the hospital.

Shigure: The hospital... but visiting hours are long since over aren't they

Haru: You goaded him into going despite knowing that...?

Yuki: Who knows?

But, normally a person'd realise it... He's an idiot. He really is an idiot. That guy.
He should really be taught a lesson by Uotani-san and Hanajima-san too...
Ahahah

Haru and Shigure can only watch as the aura of Yuki's anger roils about him again.

At the hospital, Kyo crouches on hands and knees before the main doors. Inside, a sign says that visiting hours were over for the day.

Kyo: "...That's right

Of course it is...
He got me

No wait, wrong...
Calm down
For now, stay calm me..."

Now

Start walking
