Akito Soma

[The "bond" between the 12shi and me! "Unchanging" Nobody has the right to deny these!!]

Box:
As head of the Sohma Family, the God who brings together the 12shi, that Akito is female is top secret. She and her mother Ren despise one another. It seems she's struggling to win at something but...

The head of the Sohma Family, Akito was always a mysterious figure to Tohru. There was even a time when she thought Akito was the 12shi bird but she learned from Akito's own mouth that Akito was the one who rules over the 12shi--- and was told that Akito was "God". Moreover, Akito was also female. By her mother's order, she was raised to act like a male but the reason is unknown. She binds the 12shi through authority and at times through violence, but since she was young, her mood swings themselves were quite marked but were not to the level of illness as now. However, one day, she changed. Putting the idea into Yuki's head that he was hated, abusing Kyo as a monster, looking down on Hatsuharu as a fool, she deliberately started to try and hurt the 12shi's hearts.

Personal Clothing Concept:
Most of the time this person is like that (see img) wearing kimonos but..... For Western wear, she likes things which are unadorned. Or rather, she has a dislike to being decked out and also hates having skin being shown. Although you can also see when wearing a kimono (laughs). (From the 2001 Fruits Basket Character Book)

Anxiety

Caption:
Akito curtails Tohru. Even though she believes that the 12shi can't leave her...... In truth, she herself is worried.

Because of the special bond between herself and the 12shi that Tohru doesn't have, Akito feels a sense of superiority. But, recently she's also been feeling anxiety. Because Tohru is adored by the 12shi......

For the first time, Akito shows hostility against Tohru.

Disintegration of the bond

That Kureno's curse was lifted, Akito felt that instant. She was confused, panicked, and terrified. To Akito, the curse was a definite bond between herself and the 12shi. Because the 12shi are there, she can be "God". If that should disappear, her existence would be overthrown from its very foundation--. "Don't leave me," Akito wailed clinging to Kureno. Kureno felt something out of the ordinary in that form.

Caption:
With a glance, instinctively feeling the change. She feels Kureno as much more distant than he'd been up to then. His eyes, heart, his very being even......! Why the curse was released, why it was Kureno, even Akito doesn't know.

Caption:
There's no reason why Kureno has to remain by Akito's side now that the curse, the bond is no longer there. Kureno is now free, can go anywhere, can love anyone. Even though young, Akito understood that.

One equal to God

Caption:
Akito reveals her identity to Tohru. All the time saying that her position was not the same as hers (Tohru's).

Once, God and the 12shi promised that they'd always be together. In the hearts of the people possessed by the spirits, that promise lives. "God" is among the Sohma clan members. That was Akito. The 12shi and the one possessed by the cat can't betray Akito. Regardless of how badly they are treated, they can't disobey. If they go before Akito, there feelings shrink and turn to Akito, and their bodies cringe. Being that way, even if they try to distance themselves from Akito, in the end, their feelings turn to Akito. Those feelings could be called instinctive. That's why the bond is also the curse.

Ren calls the bond a sham. While Akito denies this, somewhere in her heart, she is also afraid.

Anxiety and twisted

Caption:
In the past, Shigure swore to Akito that he would think of her for eternity. That oath is still in her heart.

Twisted Akito painted the room black with ink, and told Yuki about the curse. That the mouse is hated, that he'd been abandoned by his parents.

"God" was one who was born to be loved. Even so, there was anxiety in Akito's heart. So young Akito asked Shigure. Whether he loved her...... Yuki has also seen Shigure holding and comforting her. Without making sure like that, Akito couldn't calm down. Even so, Akito suddenly snaps......

Caption:
Akito can't forgive Shigure for having a relationship with Ren. But Shigure says that Akito was wrong.

Akito's mother, Ren, denies the bond between Akito and the 12shi for some reason. For the fun of it, she's had a physical relationship with Shigure, tempts Kureno and does things as though to break apart the 12shi and Akito. Ren states that the bond she has with Akira is the real thing and that anything else is an imitation. Why she tries to hurt Akito so much, the reason she had Akito raised as a male, the centre of this mystery is still unknown.

Despising her own child, the mother mocks her child.

Sohma Ren
Akito's mother possesses a bewitching beauty. She's rather fixated on "Akira" who has already passed away. While not as much as Akito, among the Sohma, it seems she has a certain amount of authority. Her attitude is cold, not just to Akito, but also to certain 12shi. Wanting to obtain the mysterious box that Akito has, she also tried to use Isuzu.
