This is the day for boys to return the favour from Valentine's Day. This can be a difficult time as customs vary, however, the value of the gift given should be 3-5 times the value of the gift received at Valentine's. (Varies depending on whether the chocolates received were "giri" (given out of duty) or "honmei" (serious intent).

For Tohru, she was given a number of items for White Day including a trip to the hotsprings from Momiji, a hair ribbon from Yuki, Kyo agreeing to go on the hotspring trip despite Yuki going, and a maid outfit (assuming it was actually given) from Shigure.
