Granted they were probably
half joking but I
felt like I myself was stupid and clumsy
and was being laughed at.

When he gets frustrated, he'll suddenly lose his temper. People refer to him as Black Haru when this happens.

Normally very calm and polite, he seems to be older than he actually is. However, he's completely different when he loses his temper! He becomes the uncontrollably violent "Black Haru" and he takes things out on the people and things around him.

His hobby is combative sports and his current goal is to defeat Kyo.

He had his first crush on a young Yuki who released him from the mental complex he'd formed. It may be that Yuki is still very special to him. Realising that Yuki has come to be able to smile gently when he's beside Tohru, Haru feels grateful to Tohru.

Having absolutely no sense of direction, he's gotten lost for three days when going from the Sohma mainhouse to Shigure's home.

He's very much a "my pace" type of guy.

Appearance of Black Haru
Created when young and a very separate personality - Black Haru. The reasons for losing his temper vary, suddenly being dumped by his girlfriend, Kyo not doing what he said, being given a meaningless lecture by the Student Council President, etc., etc. Haru when he's lost it, becomes so vicious that even Yuki can't stop him. Extremely sharp and going on a rampage, he doesn't stop until a critical hit is scored.

Shackled Spirit
Following the legend of the jyuunishi, Haru was constantly laughed at because the cow is clumsy and stupid. While it was an idle joke by the adults, it deeply hurt Haru's feelings. As a result Haru became servile but when frustrated would quickly lose his temper. And so he started to resent the rat. However, that which unfettered Haru's spirit was a single word by, then young child, Yuki.

Thought with no place to go
A love amidst the jyuunishi. A secret love. However, they weren't dating lightly. Despite everything, that person was so very needed....... Hospitalised after being seriously injured, she suddenly said she wanted to break up. "I don't need you anymore" and so Hatsuharu didn't know what to do.......
