Ayame is Yuki's older brother. During high school, he was the student council president.

Shigure nicknamed him "the King", he is an extremely self-centered person. Certain aspects of him are incomprehensible to the average person, perhaps because of his over-bearing and rapid, order-giving manner of speech; he has an air that no one is able to stand against. In truth, Ayame does not follow what anyone tells him to do save for Hatori.

But, perhaps his unprecedented actions captures people's hearts, afterall he was chosen to be president of the Student Council in his high school years. And that especially, according to him is the art of "the extreme, as seen in royalty, refined charismatic personality."

His relationship with his younger brother Yuki is in the worst possible shape. Ayame thinks of his brother as being so very dear to him but - the gap once created is not so easily gotten rid of.

A small hand knocked away
Ayame has regrets. Perhaps more than regret, repentance is a closer feeling. The small hand that sought help, that a young Yuki had extended, that from beginning to end, he knocked away that trembling hand. Ayame had been insensitive to pain and was indifferent in the past. Now, Ayame does everything he can to try and bury the gap that he'd created himself. So that Yuki does not become "indifferent" towards him.......

Infatuation and Friendship
In front of Hatori, Ayame is very obedient. That's because Hatori has something that Ayame does not. Because he has something that he believes he wants. He feels he can't compete. And so he realises. "......Tohru-kun's a little like you" The way she does all she can for the sake of strangers, or how she says the words that you so want to hear.......
