Tohru's close friend. She's a mysteriously beautiful girl who almost never changes expression. She speaks with very little expression and often says "..." but what she actually says tends to be quite pointed. However when it comes to Tohru, her expressions becomes especially gentle.

She has the unusual ability to can catch the waves people emit. It's also possible for her to send poisonous waves to people's brains and make them suffer.

Typically she has very little energy especially when it comes to studying where she shows no interest. Thanks to which she's failing all of her classes. However, the point that "make-up exams are easier..." suggests that she may deliberately be holding back.

She's been hanging around Tohru and Uotani ever since she transferred in her second year of junior high (grade 8).

It's not right to think
that just because you "love" someone,
whatever you do will be forgiven...
Onesidedly confronting the other person with your heightened interests
could become heavy baggage for them
Or could sometimes hurt them;
it's important not to forget that...
One mustn't forget that the other person's feelings
and thoughts are very important...

A sympathetic spirit
For Saki, Tohru was her first true friend. Tohru always made her so happy. She taught her to hold the things around her now as very important and show her the strength to recover from heartbreak. Watching her become closer and closer with the members of the Sohma clan has made Saki feel a little lonely and jealous. The one to remonstrate that feeling was her brother's words to Motoko.

Saki's denpa sees to the essence of matters. Being able to sense people's idiosyncracies and send her own waves inside people's heads. An incredible ability that anyone would fear. However, even she can't read Sohma Yuki's or Kyo's waves. There's a black shadow that falls over their thoughts. Especially the day they went to visit Kyoko's grave, the waves she sensed from Kyo standing in front of the gravestone-- Just what were the thoughts that was causing such regret......... Even now, Saki continues to pursue this
