Description:	Tohru's mom. During her junior high days, Kyoko used to belong to and lead a youth gang where she was known as the "Red Butterfly" descriptive for the way her motorcycle's tail lamp's afterglow as she zoomed by. After her gang days, she met Honda Katsuya and gave birth to Tohru. Katsuya passed away while Tohru was still very young leaving Kyoko to raise her daughter on her own. Kyoko then died in a traffic accident (on May 1) while Tohru was in Grade 10. Formerly a gang member and leader, Kyoko is, to Tohru the greatest mom in the universe, and Arisa had a crush on her gang era image and looked up to her. She enjoyed lively places and so on her first year memorial, Tohru, Arisa, Saki, Yuki and Kyo had a picnic lunch in front of her grave.
